Consistent data, always reliable

I've been using Finbox for a few years now, mostly for their valuation models like the DCF Model and the Historical Financials. This last time, I renewed my professional plan. The data is consistently updated, which is why I keep coming back. I compared it to my previous experience, and it's still just as solid. It's a tool I depend on for my own analysis, and it performs every time without any surprises. It's good to see that consistency.

Good for checking stocks

I used the Stock Screener and it was pretty easy to get the hang of. Just wanted to find some new stocks to look at and it did the job. Didn't mess with too many fancy features, just the basics. Signed up for the annual plan, took about a minute. Overall, it was a smooth process.

Decent value with annual plan

I was looking for something to help with my investments without breaking the bank, so I decided to try Finbox. I signed up for the annual plan because it offered a significant saving compared to going monthly. I used the Fair Value Estimates and some of the Stock Charts. It felt like I got a good amount of tools for what I paid. The professional plan seemed a bit much for me right now, but the standard one offered enough to make it worth the purchase. It's practical if you're trying to save money but still want good data.

Quick access to data

Needed to check some EPS Estimates quickly. Used the platform, found what I needed. It worked well. Fast and direct.

Does Finbox have a free trial? Don't want to commit to a monthly sub without trying it out first.

S Sofia T. 6 days ago
Yep, they do a 7-day free trial. I used it to check out the features before I signed up.

For sure. Just sign up and you get a week to play around with it. Gives you enough time to see if it's for you.

Thinking of signing up for Finbox, but kinda tight on cash right now. Do they ever have like, seasonal sales or big discounts?

P Paul Brown 1 month ago
Yeah, definitely keep an eye out around Black Friday/Cyber Monday. They usually have some decent deals then. Also heard about New Year ones.

They do offer like 30-50% off if you go for the annual plan vs monthly. That's probably your best bet if you're trying to save some cash immediately without waiting for a specific sale.

Thinking about Finbox vs Morningstar for value investing. Any thoughts on which is better or if they complement each other?

K Katie Mitchell 2 weeks ago
Finbox is way more hands-on for valuation models and screening if you wanna dig deep. Morningstar is good for general research and analyst reports, but if you're building your own models, Finbox wins.

I'd say Finbox for the actual number crunching and custom models. Morningstar is more about expert opinions and broader market insights. Depends if you want to use someone else's valuation or build your own from scratch.

how accurate is finbox data, especially for like fair value estimates and stuff? i've used simply wall st before and sometimes it felt a bit off.

A Aaron Hernandez 1 day ago
From my experience, it's pretty solid. They use actual financial models like DCF, not just some generic algorithm. I cross-reference with other sources sometimes, but Finbox is usually in the ballpark.

I think it's as accurate as these things get. No one can predict the future perfectly lol. But their methodology seems transparent and based on solid finance principles. I mostly use it for the screening and historical data myself.

Anyone know if Finbox is good for international stocks or is it mostly US-focused? I'm looking at some stuff in Europe and Asia.

A Amanda R. 1 week ago
They actually have really good global market coverage. I've used it for Canadian and some European stocks without issues. It's not just a US thing.

Yeah, they support a bunch of international markets. You can find data for emerging markets too, which is pretty cool. Way better than some other platforms that are super US-centric.
